About us

This exciting al large scale project has two sections; A historic building (The Gatsby Lounge) in the centre of Amsterdam and 10 classic ships (Gatsby Cruises).

The Gatsby Lounge will become a luxury art deco lounge and harbours an ongoing exhibition about the Dutch Rescue Brigade, one that used to repair its ships in this building from 1895.

The ships will operate as a Hop On & Hop Off service for tourists on the rivers IJ  and Amstel, in the canals in Amsterdam and to the Zaanse Schans.

All Gatsby staff will be dressed in uniforms and designs dating back to the ‘roaring 20’s’ and some have been designed by an award winning designer in London.

The concept is a Hop On & Hop Off service, accompanied by a superb glass of wine with a stop at The Gatsby Lounge where a (monthly theme) culinary experience, for example a mussel party or wine tasting awaits them, prepared by various guest Michelin Chef’s and our team of  executive chefs.

What we offer on our ships

- We offer a high-end culinary service to people who would like to see something more than coffee shops and canals.

- Next; We operate on the river IJ as a water-limo partner for hotels, museums and attractions, to transport their (and our) guests to and from the center, all while enjoying our excellent food, beverages and service.

- All other larger ships operate 2 to 3 hour culinary tours, for example brunch, lunch, high tea and dinner services.

- This service is supported by a state-of-the-art (mobile) technology and booking platform for both B2B and B2C.

- With a classic ferry from 1908 we will undertake 3 daily tours to the Zaanse Schans, a lovely journey where top quality food and drinks are being served by our professional and caring staff.

- In the evening time the upper deck (2nd class) will serve a cocktail menu and the lower deck (first class) a dinner menu with live music.

- Ticket bookings are made possible via tour operators (B2B) or directly via our mobile app (B2C) in 15 languages.
